TOP_PREDATOR375H&H what a great caliber
I went shooting with a mate from Canada at the weekend he was shooting brno 375H&H 270gr Federal power shok we shot about 30 goats over the weekend with 375,243,12ga.I found the 375 softer to shot than my 7mm mag.some shots were out to 200 yards

This turkey was taken at 10 yards with 375

i'm going to get a 375,thinking sako 75 what a great round,

It looks like you had a nice walk in the woods.
Goodonya Mate!
Yep, the 375 H&H is a sweetie! Most people regard the 375 as a "big bore, big kicker" but in a proper rifle it is an easy to shoot cartridge. When you have a 9 lb rifle with the scope (and rifle) set up right the 375 is easier to shoot than many 300 mags. I love this round, and really like introducing it to people who think it is uncontrollable. A great cartridge that more people need to experience.

That is what my brother says about his .375 H&H! Shooting his was one reason I had to get me one. So far I love it!

I don't doubt it. If you get a light rifle in 7mm Mag, it snaps into you pretty badly. I would imagine a 375 H&H would be much more pleasant.

TOP_PREDATORWe found one fired bullet, well jacket it had lost the core.So we lined up six dead goats and fired a shot into them from about 3 yards it stopped under the skin of the second goat it was a nice mushroom and did not lose its core. That may not be a good test we just did it out of interest.

458RugerNo1My M77/MkII RSM weighs in at 10 lbs and it's literally a pussycat to shoot with full-power 300gr RN ammo. No big deal at all... I could benchrest it all day long and never be sore.
It's a truly great round and IMHO anyone can shoot it well with modest practice.

Dear Ray
I haven't shot any ladies or kids with a 375 so I will have to defer to your greater experience. I must say it works very well on African plains game.

Hunting is getting as close as you can, shooting is getting as far away as possible.

A couple of ladies and kids, or a couple of .375s? If ladies and kids, where did you hunt them and how did you find the trophy quality?

prof242As far as ladies and kids, I often say, "I love children...baked, broiled, fried, and fricasseed." Of course, someone then has to speak up and say that any kid can just about wrap Max around their finger.

Head TraumaYou should see the looks from the yah-hey, up der den Cheeseheads in Wisconsin during whitetail season. Good for a lot of laughs. Funny thing, causes less meat damage that a lot of 270's and 30-06's. A Texas Heart Shot with a Barnes solid that the bunny police never find out about causes very little meat loss and is very effective.
