You probably don't want one of these on your 458 Lott or 450 Rigby, but it's certainly practical on your 375, 416, 404, etc...
Swarovski has hit a home run with the new BTF Turret.
1) It's easy-on, easy-off (with the push of a button.)
2) The "clicks" are very positive.
3) It's only a little taller than the standard turret cap.
4) You can adjust the individual rings noting yardage, or they will custom laser engrave one for your bullet, caliber, etc...
5) The turret has a positive "lock" to prevent it from being accidentally turned.
I can't say we condone shooting every animal at 500 yards, but there is no doubt that practice at 300, 400 and even 500 will make you a better shot at 100 and 200.
With today's laser rangefinders being so inexpensive, you can dial in a 375 and shoot reliably to 200 or 300 yards.
The 375 (and even the 404 and 416) have the energy and trajectory to take big game at extended ranges.
For a little extra, you can add one of these to your HEYM "Express" / Swarovski Z8i package.

new_guyWe will have 375s, 416s and 404s at SCI.
The 450 is now in regular production, but I have none in inventory. Figure about 6 months for delivery.

We have a limited focus in calibers primarily because each action and magazine box is cartridge-specific.
That means that the (1) feed rails and (2) magazine box for each action are CNC machined with a specific profile that is geometrically optimized for the feeding of that particular caliber.
So a 375 action and bottom metal could not be rebarreled to a 404 or a 416, etc...
The good news is that we don't have to "blacksmith" (cut, grind, weld, polish) a "one size fits most" action or bottom metal to make them feed. They come out of the CNC and run perfectly. Again, because of the correct geometry being machined.
Here is an action view from the bottom that shows a 375 H&H profile machined into the bottom of the action.
Here you can see how the magazine box perfectly fits or "hugs" a stack of 404s.
No one else in the market is doing this today, and the results speak for themselves.
Run 5 rounds through a HEYM Express, and you'll see that the feed like they are running on greased ball bearings!

Heym SR20Beautiful,
Now please do a mirror image and make a nice left hand 375h&h.

TREE 'EMI handled one in 375 and liked it, but it's a little heavy for my tastes. I wish it weighed 2 1/2 lbs less

Big Wonderful WyomingWow, can't wait to handle one in Dortmund next week.
Please tell me you are not using Talley mounts?
28 January 2017, 00:24
McKayThey look like Talley's to me? What is wrong with them? More of my guns where them than anything else.

Hello, Jager. I would suggest taking a look at the website.
1) there are several photos of the rifle, action, parts, close ups, etc... on the "Express" page.
https://www.heymusa.com/rifles/express.html 2) Under the "Media" section, you will find several articles with photographs there too.
https://www.heymusa.com/media.html We are in Vegas for the next week at SCI, so getting photos in natural sunlight will be delayed a bit.
30 January 2017, 06:25
bradheI bought one of the first 375s for my son. Very nice rifle for the price, and (a rarity today) DG ready out of the box

Awesome rifles!!!! I nearly bought a 416 Rigby (or 404 Jeff) at SCI on Saturday, but my son dragged me over to book a buffalo hunt, and before I knew it the show was closing. Next year.
Go Duke!!

new_guyBlue Devil - sorry that we missed you.
If you still want a rifle / scope combo, Swarovski said I can add a couple of scopes at the same price.
