ColoradoMatt416 cal Hornady interlocks discontinued?
This may be old news to most of you, but I just found out that Hornady discontinued the 400grain 416 cal interlocks. They offered them in interbond for a short time as well. What the heck! Wish I could have afforded to buy more when I had the chance. Now there are no relatively inexpensive 400 grainers out there.

Rule 303Fellas see if you can locate the importer for Frontier Bullets from South Africa. They are about the cheapest 416 projies in Aust and are cheaper than what the Hornady's were.

M 98Bertram makes 400 gn 416 proj and there $50/100
but i think the best option is just you use cast bullets in the big bores...you can run then at the same vel as the jacketed proj at a fraction of the cost

pagosawingnutMatt,

Thanks for the offer. I don't need more real soon. I'm still waiting for a custom 416 Rigby to be completed. While it certainly won't be a plinking rifle, it would be nice to have cheaper bullets available for practice loads, and hunting big thin skinned critters in the U.S. If I ever make it to Africa, I would likely use Partitions for my soft loads. Thanks
