I touched on this briefly before,but this time a pic is a thousand words..Decided yesterday that with 28 days to go till africa,I'd get the new to me shotgun dialed in,and a few last rounds out of the ruger 77 lott..FINE.. So being the brite fart that I am,I pounded my shoulder with the shotgun 40-50 times,then went to the range with the cannon.Anyway heres the day in short...Couldnt miss with the shotgun. I dont believe in clays as a true depiction of real birds so I go to the nearby swamp and shoot every nuisance bird...Couldnt miss..Shot for shot,any direction,any distance,their ass was in the grass...So deleriously thrilled at my built from pieces 100$ gun,that I just had to go out with the lott..Let me tell you bout this lott. Firstly(although said by many)I DONT FLINCH..but thats another topic. I put my target up on top of a bigger target at 100 meters(109 yds)Set up my sand bags and proceed to shoot an already prefouled gun..And the same results as always off the bench. fired two 3 shot groups that no doubt are killers,but I like to see better than mere killers off a bench in ideal circumstances,cause once you through in all the field variables it magnifies things..So I walked to the target,pulled my little one off the big one and walked back in disgust A FREKIN GAIN !!!...Good thing I was alone at the range,cause when I got back,I noticed the 3 last shells sitting in my box...Proceeded to put them in the gun,looked at the target,yelled"YOU SOB" and let the 3 sliver off hand at a black dot,and thats the 3 at the top....So after contless dollars in ammo,gas,time,you nanme it,I've come to a conclusion..My lott is female,and wants to be held and cuddled,she dont want to be done over a cold bench.
