Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Super Grade .375 H&H Rear sight
Gentlemen

I am looking for a rear sight for my Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Super Grade .375 H&H Magnum.

It looks lke this:

That looks exactly like the one I had, but mine did NOT have ANY open sight on the barrel. I think the one in your picture had that sight added by someone. However, it is drilled & tapped for a Lyman 48 aperture rear sight. Mine had that, and a Lyman Alaskan in a Paul Jaeger single-lever side mount. This rig worked great, the scope could be instantly removed, and in two seconds the aperture rear put in place. I never needed the peep while hunting, though....

I believe a Lyman # 57 for the pre-64 would work also if you can't find a #48. Perhaps there is a Williams Foolproof that will also work on that rifle.

That sight is a factory installed rear sight for the 375 H&H. They had two or three versions of the rear sight for the 375's. They are VERY HARD to find. Good luck.
