The problem, if seen as such, is magazine capacity. It is tough to beat the Lott.

It's not difficult to get three Jeffery cases down without a new box. How many Lott's do most folks' rifles hold?
After four quick shots of 500g at 2400 fps, you'd probabyl be ready to get trampled rather than take more abuse!

my 500 jeffe holds 3+ in the mag. I can put one in the pipe, 3 in the mag, and shoot then all!!

Awesome. Point is, there is no real mag capacity problem, just a matter of finding a gunsmith to do the right work.
