David CraigI had a factory slug barrel for my Remington SP 10. It was a smooth bore barrel with rifle sights, I shot Federal 10 ga. 1 3/4 oz. foster type slugs through it. I bought the barrel at a gun show several years ago, but never really used it as I had a rifled 12ga. barrel for my Benelli and used it for most of my deer hunting (IL. slug gun only). I sold the barrel to a buddy of mine because he wanted it for his SP 10. Don't think he ever used it either.

tiggertateI think some states limit bore size to 12 ga for big game hunting which also limits the number of people willing to make 10 ga slug guns. The two most common rounds are 1.5 oz foster-style slug and ten gauge round ball. Good luck finding any in stores, though. I've only seen it from a few custom loaders.

Hog KillerFederal loads a 1 3/4oz slug. I think you will have to find a barrel maker to build a fully rifles 10ga barrel. That or try and find a rifled choke tube for the 10ga, good luck on finding either.

Bill/OregonYou could probably get a rifled choke tube such as a Cation for a threaded 10-gauge barrel. Imagine working a solid brass shell load full of BP over an appropriate 900-grain conical.

jro45I have a 10ga with a 36" barrel that can shoot slugs. As a matter of fact I have some for it that I could use for deer hunting.
