Thanks for the reply Sarge, but Huntington's only sells reloading supplies. I am looking for loaded ammo. I am not a reloader but I recently bought a Ruger No. 1 in .450 Rigby. The person I bought it from kept all of his dies, ammo, etc. because he was going to build another .450 Rigby. I would like to shoot this rifle, but I have no ammo. [Confused]

Try www.superiorammo.com
I have shot their stuff in a couple of double rifles and it is very good. You can pick the bullet you want.

RecoilPad,

KYNAMCO loads the cartridge, and people like Westley Richards and Galazan sell the loaded ammunition in the US.

And of course Bertram also make brass if your in a bind, but I would try and get some Horneber Brass, that is good looking stuff on a par with lapua brass I reckon.

Oh dear,
When I first built up my .450 Rigby, I tried to order some ammo from Superior. If they ever have really loaded up that caliber, they sure never let me know about it. KYNAMCO makes great ammunition but you pay through the nose for it. Of course, no sane individual would need to fire more than a hundred rounds in a lifetime so maybe it ain't so bad figured in the long run. If you really intend to use that gun for more than a "fun" trip to the range, I'm afraid you're going to have to become a reloader. It simply isn't economical to do it any other way.

I know a gent who orders his double rifle ammunition from Westley Richards, but has the voucher sent directly to his accountant so he does not have to see it. [Wink]

These big bore rifles can be expensive to feed, but economical is, after all, a relative term.

Thanks everybody for your replys. [Big Grin]
Sarge, I have to agree with you. I will have to become a reloader to enjoy this rifle. With as many guns that I have, I guess reloading would be a smart move for me. This big bore ammo is very expensive loaded on the outside. Thanks again for everyone's help.
