I was chatting with a buddy of mine over in Louisiana. He mentioned that he saw a new CZ 404 Jeffery in a local gunshop. Initially I didn't think much of it. However now I am thinking this might be a fun rifle. Does anyone have experience with this particular model?

At what price should this new rifle sell?

About 2500.00 would be a decent deal.

I purchased mine for $2400, and a second one for $2500 and change. They are real beauties and great shooters. No regrets!

This rifle had been on the self, new in the box, for about 2 months at $1500. The day after I find out about it, the damn thing sells.

This has happened to me three times in two weeks, I have made call to buy two rifles is gunshops and one over the internet, and each time, the rifle had just been sold. This sucks!!

eurocentric, does this rifle come with a 25" barrel like the others?

TBD - Was the rifle a Safari Magnum Classic? As far as I know that's the only one CZ chambers in 404. FWIW I have one, new in box, unfired, great wood, feeds perfectly, set of Redding dies, 20 rounds of custom ammo, 20 additional pieces of brass, 80 Barnes solids, QD Warne rings. I'll take $2,250.00 for the lot and you pay shipping and insurance. PM if you would like more info.
