I just received a e-mail from Shane at Mcmillan,
he said they have finished the program and can
now build stocks for the 375 Rugers.
I will get mine in about 3 weeks and will post
pictures then.

It's about time! Long overdue!

What pattern did you go with and which one's are available for the 375 Ruger?

Please send some pics. I may want to put one on my .375R. Sounds Great.

I ordered mine in a hunter stock, I am sure they
will offer it in any Ruger stock that fits the
MKll action. I sent my barreled action to them
back in October.
This was started by a e-mail to them asking if
the 375 Ruger would fit in the MKll configuration
They then said they would fit (pillar bed etc)
the stock for free.
They don't say anything about it on their web page but I'm sure it will soon.

Any Mcmillan stock that is inletted to fit the standard mkII magnum barrelled action (7mmRM, 300WM, 338WM) will also fit the 375Ruger. They all share the same barrel contour from the receiver through the stock forend. Any stock that can be inletted for the mkII 338WM will fit.

I'm unsure why they would need a different program. The measured dimensions are the same.

What GaryVA says is true.
Obviously McMillan did the "trust but verify" number before sinking funds in new tooling.
Anywho, wise business move all around there, as they will be selling a lot of those Ruger stocks.

I had my 375 Ruger and my 7RM Ruger Mk II both pulled out of thier stocks the other day.

I swapped them over for the sake of it, and the Hogue barrel channel swallowed the 7RM, with room to spare along the edges of the stock. Reciever fit fine, maybe MAcmillan is just redoing the barrel channel.

That's exactly what they did/doing.
I expect they didn't want to sell a bunch of stocks For the MKII action and then get them back for the right barrel channel, I have several MAC
stocks but this is the first Ruger I've owned.
Never been a ruger fan, until they came out with
the 375.
I've been tempted to get one of their big bores
but I think they are overpriced, I can take a cz and put 3 or 4 c-notes in it and have a pretty good rifle.
any way I think RIP is right they will sell
a bunch.

I think there may be two different 7mmRM contours on the Ruger.

My 7mmRM's from Ruger have had the more slender barrel like yours.

All the 300WinMag and 338WinMag Rugers I have owned have had the same barrel contour as the current .375 Ruger ... out to the end of the barrel channel.

They taper differently beyond the forend tip.

This potential confusion is why McMillan would "trust but verify" and in the end come up with a barrel channel that is a perfect fit for all: 300WinMag, 338WinMag, and .375 Ruger.
