The A-SQUARE COMPANY
Does any buddy know if A-Square is in business?
Do they sell new Hannibal rifles?
I have been thinking of to sell my .460Wby and buy a Hannibal rifle in .577 Tyrannosuar!
What does it cost?
And do they sell loaded ammo? Or only brass and bullets?

Thanks!

Hallo Sweede

I spoke with Art Alpin ( the owner ) at IWA 2004 in Nrnberg last month, and according to him the business is open. I saw the rifles and they are not a joy to look at.
The sell loaded ammo and brass and bullets.
You can call him at 001 812-283-0577

Unless things have changed recently, Art isn't the owner anymore. His 'smith (the guy who actually built the rifles) bought the company and hired Art as a consultant or such. Not bad mouthing the company or the man in any way, all my dealings with both were quite pleasant, just stating the facts as I understand them. FWIW - Dan

The present owner is Jim Smith who bought the company from Art Alphin. He is a fine gentleman and I have had personal experience of this.

Overkill, if you want to contact him, just e-mail him through the website www.a-squarecompany.com

Good hunting!

Thanks for the info guys!
Does any one of you have any experience of the a-square rifles? Like the hannibal model?

I have a .500 A-Square Hannibal model that was manufactured in 1988. I like it.
The stock is thick in the forearm and wrist, with a relatively upright wrist angle. It takes some getting used to. I cannot imagine firing this cartridge in a conventional stock design.
