I called them directly. The hooks are $15 a piece. You can do a search for the company on Google and get them in a second. They take Visa/MC as well.

So I take it no one has actually used them? Before I make a band and solder it to my barrel, I wanted to hear from folks who used them in the field. I figured with the old Enlgih big bores aorund here soem on ehad tried them. Buhler? Buhler? ANyone? ANyone?

I remember seeing these in the Brownells catalog at one time and believe they are still there. Not sure who used them first, but I like to refer to them as Winchester Sling Hooks, as Winchester used them for quite some time on some of their lever guns and Model 54s. Usually on Winchesters made prior to '35 or so.

I haven't used them but I have a Lang that has the eyelets. My thoughts about them include this: When you are getting into something interesting, you do not simply take the sling off your shoulder, you take it off your gun. One less thing flopping around.

Is this practical? I don't know, but I suspect so.
