Me, My Truck and my 416WBY

Big Bore Boar HunterAnd here I thought maybe you layed the rifle on the hood and pulled the trigger! The 416 wby is an awe inspiring (not to mention pain inspiring) round. I have heard that lions actually understand the words 416 and weatherby and often cease any hostilities and lay down in submission at the mere sight of it. (Again, to those who know who they are, don't take this too seriously)

BaDonkaDonkNice looking rifle, the wood on these big weatherby's is awesome. What optics are you using? Recoil on these big boys aren't that bad.
You don't have to be the best shot....Just the last shot.

I ues a Leupold VX-III 2.5-8x36mm with wide duplex for quick acquiring of target up close and allows me to take med to long shots on none dangerous game. My 416WBY has a muzzle brake taking up 53% of recoil, like shooting a 300WBY with no brake.

HeatHeck beartooh, even if you miss the BOOM will probably cause them to have a heartattack

At least that's what I'm figuring for this year's elk hunt with my 338-378
