Phil, aka 458Win.
Do you have anymore pics of the Lon Paul work of art?

I did an earlier piece for Rifle magazine on the 458 Lott entitled Much ado about Nothing and it has more photos of the rifle. Lon also has a web site i think is lonpaulcustomguns - google it and you should find it. There are numerous examples of his work there as well.

He is hopefully finishing up a very nice custom 30-06 for me as well and I'll get photos and details out on it as soon as i can.

That is one gifted craftsman..my hats off to Lon.
Your a lucky sob Phil! Wink
I saw your article in the recent handloader and it was a dandy featuring Lon's rifle. I still have the article from 03 with ole ugly featured. You come up in the world, eh! LOL
You must have a real good tooth fairy amigo.

If tooth fairies were real I might be driving a rig with less than 225,000 miles - but a man has to put his priorities somewhere.

Actually Lon is a very good friend and after seeing all my rifles I think he kind of felt sorry for me.

Never mind Phil I'm sure he's tickled that you put em to such good use.
My last truck lasted me 13 yrs before I finally sold it off..so I get the priorities comment.
Ole ugly's still on the wall I take it?
Sounds like your pretty happy with the 350 gr .375 bullets out of the H&H..or Ruger, enuf to switch cals. tho?
Tried like hell to get my hands on a .376 Steyr but no luck.. seen or heard much about em in your neck o the woods?

I've not seen a 376 Steyr in my camp.
I do like the new 375 Ruger and both rifles and if they had been avaliable twenty-five years ago Ole ugly might never have happened BUT it still fits me like a glove and put big bears down with more authority than any 375 so I don't intend to put it out to pasture any time in the near future.
