<Stoneybroke>Mauser model 3000 in 375 H&H
I have an opportunity to purchase a Mauser model 3000 in 375 H&H. Rifle has a 2&3/4 Leupold with Conetrol mounts and is in as new condition. Not a mark on it! All I know about these rifles is that they were made in Germany during the early seventies. Anyone here have any experience or opinions about the 3000? Note: This is NOT the model 600 or 660. (Same company but different, more expensive gun) Second question: Is this gun worth a grand in as new condition? Third question: If I break something, like an extractor, are parts available? <Norbert>The Mauser 2000 (Europa) and 3000 (USA market) were manufactured by Heym, Germany. They are as good as other modern push feed bolt actions.
