Brian TMontana Rifle Company
I am considering having them build me a 458 win mag barreled action. I would like to have a laminated stock made for it. Any recommendations on someone to do the stock and final fitting/finishing?

Bill ThibeaultTry Precision Rifle & Tool in Mebane, NC. They built a custom left-handed .375 H&H for me, using a Montana Rifleman action and a McGowan barrel. I had them put an English walnut stock on my gun, but they work with laminated stocks as well.
I hope to post pictures of my rifle here if I can figure out how to do so using my Apple MacBook computer. Check out their website:

Idaho Sharpshooterthere is a company about 30 miles from MRC that has all the stock patterns, laminated and blanks for their entire line IIRC. Just check with Dan. He can probably get it up there and have it shipped to you when done.

mwm464Richards Microfit does excellent quality laminate stocks. You will have to do the final finishing, but 99% of the inletting is done. They have a great selection of choices also.

tiggertateI think Jim Brockman offers an Express style laminate for the MRC, too. Pre-fit and finished or semi-inlet.

Rick RI called Brockman's last week and the lady who answered the phone stated that they were no longer making stocks for Montana actions.

Charles_HelmI believe
Serengeti Stockworks makes them.
I have not bought anything from them so I have no personal experience.
My MRC in 404J had gunsmithing done by Precision Rifle and Tool(referenced above) and an Accurate Innovations walnut stock. I love that rifle. In fact, the twin brother to my rifle is featured on Precision Rifles website in the Gallery. It is the fourth down on the far left in 458 Lott. The stock looks a lot better than the picture.
