John Paul,
I sure hope you post pictures of that new double after you've shot it of course. Butch puts out a marvelous product. You know how fast the raffle sold out. Have a great time at the range.

Iron buck and Shondor, good luck to you both on the raffle.

My rifle is a field grade 470NE with ejectors and
a steel grip cap, as a little extra add on, and no sling attachments

Sorry, I don,t even own a digital camera or a
scanner. Hell, Our computer runs on something called a 200mmx pentium??????========Slow. I just use it to mail things and check the AR site

Glad to see there are those out there that can afford the kind of High quality that butch can put together on the deluxe and the higher grades.
I am not one of them though, mine is just a field grade. I have been down to the shop and seen the rifles of which you speak. They are AWESOME. and Butch is a pleasure to deal with I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I've never actually handled a double, but I'm a lefty. What makes it LH? The stock? The break lever? Just curious.

Pertinax,

The cheekpiece is on the righthand side of the stock, stock cast goes the other way, and, ideally, the front trigger fires the left barrel (and the rear fires the right barrel).

Interesting. So if I win the raffle, should I get one in LH, tough it out with a RH (because of the resale value difference between RH and LH), or (for the same reason), get a hybrid: RH action, but LH stock? Anybody want to opine on this?

When you do get your searcy, get it left handed for your own convenience, and let the next guy change the butt stock to right hand...or better still, sell it to another lkefy, and keep the best the way it is.
