SnellstromPowder Capacity for .450/.400 3" or .400 Jeffery.
Anyone out there know the powder capacity for the .450/.400 3" or also known as .400 Jeffery?
Who is making Bullets for this diameter?
Thanks

400 Nitro ExpressRelative capacity is 114.8 grains of water. Woodleigh and Hornady are making bullets for it.

"Serious rifles have two barrels, everything else just burns gunpowder."
Then the 450/400 NE 3" would be almost identical in powder capacity to the .404 Jeffery Rimless Nitro Express, or 10.75x73mm Mauser.
A similar gross water capacity relationship exists for the 470 NE and the 470 Mbogo.
