The short of it is, Saeed was looking for something truly impressive and unique, and found out Walther could make him a 1.008" barrel. I don't recall the parent brass, but believe it is a 20mm cannon shell.

The motivation seems to have waned after they started loading up the 700 NE

It has been known by various names in the early stages of the concept, but in honor of Saeed's PH Roy Vincent, was dubbed the Vincent Buffalo Stomper.

I haven't heard any news about the project getting past the conceptual stage.
