hoss101Ruger RSM opinions
Just picked up a Ruger Magnum .375 for a very good price from a fellow board member Guy Kish). What is the general opinion of these as an actual DGR? It`s a beautiful rifle, absolutely as new in box, with a Leupold 1-4x scope. Don`t think I could go wrong for $850.
Thanks,
Rob

Big BoreMine is in .416 Rigby also. I could not be more pleased with the rifle. Yours at $850 with a scope, well, let's just say I'm turning green

JKSRob,
I didn't jump on that deal soon enough with Guy-by the time I got serious about it somebody (you!) had bought it.
I have a RSM in 416 Rigby and absolutely love it. I think they are a great value at new prices and a steal at what you paid.

<RAB>Actually, I have never seen a buffalo before and I don't own anything larger than a .22 but if I were to hunt a buffalo and I did own a real gun, it would be a .416. I hope that helps.

AtkinsonI think the Rugers are the best buy to come down the Pike in years, They have it all including that wonderfull intregral quarter rib that would cost the price of a Ruger Rifle if you ordered one direct from a barrel maker. The needed control feed, the M-70 safty, barrel band swivel, barrel band front sight, Circasion walnut stock, and all this is done in tasteful English styling.
I don't know how any factory rifle could be better and still sell at that price.
Sure it may need a little tweeking, but so do a LOT of custom rifles to get all the bugs out.

citori3I traded emails with Guy Kish on this rifle. I had reservations about buying a rifle sight unseen (no slight to Guy Kish, I don't know him). I'm pleased to hear it worked out so well for you. That is a great price! My loss for being so risk averse!
