<STARTING BIG BORE>Bedding for 500 A2
I am starting to bed my A2. This is what I propose to do, please let me know what you think. These materials that I propose to use, I have used in the past.
I will hog out the stock oversize and bed it with carbon fiber thruogh the fore arm past the recoil lug. Also there will be ground up crabon fiber in all of the bedding. This will spread out the recoil throught the stock. It will also have a recoil lug on the barrel. Will I have to leave some space behind the tang to keep from chipping the stock.
It has a 28" barrel and is a single shot so the magazine area will be solid. Please let me know if you think this will not work and why. Keep in mind that the carbon fiber is stronger than steel.

<STARTING BIG BORE>I layed up moldes with carbon fiber this is left overs. I also have kevlar, but it is more like leather, it will strech after the epoxy gives. On the other hand carbon fiber will not strech and it all breaks at the same time or not. I think it will make very good bedding. I have it in a flock form too, this mixed with epoxy will be as strong as steel bed maybe stronger because the fibers are longer. If it lets go I think the whole stock will be shot.
