new_guyLucky me!
How about a
new, unfired ZKK 602 375 from '92?
With a decent piece of wood!
Like all the rest, it needs feeding work and probably some shaping on the stock, but all-in-all it's a good day.

MJinesVery nice! I'll give you $250 for it.

500grainsWhy do the buttstock and the bolt shaft have the same curvature?

Charles_HelmI just remembered what I wanted to trade for that brass!

45/70 Govt. The stock is gorgeous! I wouldn't touch it unless it just plain doesn't fit.
Sometimes you get lucky --
I was looking for a Ruger No. 1 in 45/70. No one stocked them. Didn't see one in the local shop, but mentioned I was looking. Sky, the owner, had one in the back room, stainless, looks like it's been fired maybe twice -- Once to see what it's about, a second time to confirm that it's "too much recoil and so let's trade for a 30-30."
I got the loading dies used too!
*LMAO*
But wait! It gets better --
No decent scopes available locally, so I drive to Longview, 50 miles, for a Leupold.
I find the scope, VX III, 1.75 - 6x 32mm, rings, flip up covers, a sling, powder, brass, bullets, etc.
And so I'm headed back to the "main drag" and the pawn shop along the way has a sign, "All Guns 20% Off."
I found a Weatherby Vanguard, 30-06 (I'd been looking for a bolt in '06.), Leupold VX II, 3 - 9x 40 mm, about 95%. Looks like it's been sitting on a shelf, from the greasy dust.
$367 out the door. And it's a nice shooter.
Ruger No. 1 needed a lever latch replacement from the factory, and so I'm pacing the floor, reading AR posts, and waiting, waiting, waiting.
But the '06 is sweet!
-- Sporty's, on the way back from Longview, has a Marlin 1895, stainless, 45/70, long bbl. It's calling my name -- and I don't have a spouse asking me why I "need" another firearm. *S*
(Need has nothing to do with it.)
I'll go $300 on your ZKK 602 375 from '92, "as is" . . . CASH!
