Bwana-be.505" bullets?
What bullets are available for the .505 caliber?
Barnes has made a 570g X, I think, and has a 600g solid, there's Woodleigh, Hawk I think, and GS Custom if you can get them, A-Square if they come together....
Who am I missing?
Seems like most everyone's load data is with Barnes.
Also would love any input as to bullet performance.

ScrollcutterI think the Barnes 570 grain X bullet is .510 diameter. I wish it were available in .505 though.

NickuduBarnes will draw down the .510"/570's, if the order is big enough. Kenai Capt. & I just bought 160 together. They coated them for us with the blue stuff. Nice.

Star.
Naval Ordnance
Thunderbird(solids).
Another Australian business may be putting bigbore bullets out in the near future..but I can't say too much

AtkinsonKodiak makes them and they are a real fine bullet according to Master Alaskan and gun editor Phil Shoemaker who shots a 505 Gibbs..
Barnes bullets are .509
The Gibbs is a .505 bore, the 500 Jefferys is a .510 bore...

ScottSWhy do we need anything other than the Woodleighs? In my experience the Woodleigh's offer the best combination of accuracy and terminal performance. I see no reason for anything else. Of course I may be missing something.
