More 404 Components
Not that I really need them but I have managed to score a few more cases and bullets in part lots from our online Trade Me site over the past few months for my 404. Never know when the vege patch gets hit with a marauding herd of eles or buffs.

Managed to get 28 in total of new unfired RWS and Hornady cases, plus some mono bullets as per the image below.
The long Impala 400gr bullets are round nose flat pointed so I imagine will feed well from the magazine and penetrate like hell.
I hadn't heard of Impala bullets before but I've looked on their website, not sure how widespread their use has been.

Nowadays you have to buy components as you find them, and buy all you do find.

Too true. I'm very impressed with the CEB monos. CNC made I presume, beautifully finished and packaged.
Unless I get back onto hunting big game with my 404 I guess I'll never use use them or the Impalas.

404 brass was in short supply some years back.

I found 3 drums - this is how they transported them.

The drums were made of cardboard.

I bought the whole lot, as I have several rifles based on the 404.

Glad I did.

Bullets are not a problem for me as I make my own.

I had several boxes of Impala bullets and still have one full box, I wasn't impressed with them at all. They may be collectable today, not sure..They pushed very light bullets at high velocity claiming expansion wasn't necessary at those top velocities..Didn;t work for me.
