Does anyone know how to remove the front sight band off of a CZ550 Safari Magnum?

Mike BirdwellIt is soldered on, I removed the one on my 458 lott to install a barrel swivel band. I just heated with a torch & tapped off with a wood mallet. Re-heated to re-install it.

As is common, RIP knows his stuff. I should have known, I just wanted a second opinion.

450 RIGBYRight. It is soldered. I removed it from my 4 CZ Safaris to install Talley bands. I use kitchen electric range. Make sure you not overheat it. Blackening could change color. I check temperature by touching sitht with with piece of soldering wire and as soon wire will start to melt after contact I knock it off with some hard wood dowell and hammer. I make wery fine line accross joint of sight band and barrell as reference line before start to heat it to make sure I install it lined up exactly the same way as it was otherwise you change point of aim of express sitht. Sight is so tall, slight missalignement will force you to shift rear sight way to the one site. It just looks bad.

tiggertatePencil lead will prevent solder from flowing onto places you don't want it. Just take a #2 and scribble all around the joint.
