Wouldn't a titanium extractor not have the "spring" that an extractor is supposed to have? Just curiuos as I hav heard Ti is strong and light but has no give.

I would think that in tandem with just the right spring it would be nearly unbreakable.

Actually it's pretty elastic. That's why S&W never tried to use it for cylinders or barrels and why Taurus barrels have a liner.
