MJinesRCBS Die Question: Safari Dies
Anyone know the difference between the RCBS Safari 3 die sets and the special order 3 die sets -- other than price. I was pricing some big bore dies and the standard set (from the special order group) for the caliber I am looking for runs around $450, the Safari die set is $180. One comes from the special order shop, the other does not. The special order version comes with an adaptor bushing, big deal. Just seems like a huge price difference for dies that have largely got to be the identical.

chuck375My advice is to call Huntington's and they'll be able to tell you definitively. My guess is they are phasing out the old dies and there probably is no difference, but that's all it is, a guess. Huntington's will know. Here's a link:

MJinesThanks for the info. I ordered a set of the Safari Series.
I just recieved a set of these in 500NE last week. They appear to be alright to me.
