Magnum Mauser and Rigby
When did Mauser ending their production of magnum actions?
And when did Rigby moved to USA?
Did the British Rigby ever built any rifles on the Brno action?

Johan,
I don't know the year - more knowledgeable members here will tell you the exact date - but the John Rigby name moved to the US when it was bought by Rogue River Armo(u?)ry some years ago.
Some material that I have (mostly from Rob Adam's books) says that when the firm was in London under Paul Roberts' ownership, they used Brno, Dakota as well as older Magnum Mauser, Hartmann and Weiss etc actions depending on the customers' choice. Historically, the firm also made .416 rifles on standard Mauser 98 actions thyough they don't now. I wonder what they use these days though.

Good hunting!
