GeorgeSRuger #1 .405 Win. query
For those of you who have one, what is the actual, measured groove diameter of your barrel?
Someone is saying that theirs slugged out to .414" (correct bullet diameter is .411").

Lee MartinGeorge,
I'll check my stainless #1 tonight. Regardless of the groove diameter, mine shoots surprisingly well....1.5" - 2.0" with only a 4.5x Bushnell. My best load to date has been 54.0 grains of 3031 under a 300 gr RN Hornady.

ASS_CLOWNGeorge,
I can measure mine, but it ain't no Ruger. If you get a Ruger with a 0.414" bore do you think you could get by using 0.416" diameter bullets? Would make for a far greater selection.

ASS_CLOWNGeorge,
My non-Ruger measures 0.411" on the dot (at the muzzle end anyway).
