RIPThanks Nickudu!

The value of this article is in seeing how much fun Jack Lott got out of such silliness: the tone of the hyperbole.
It is pretty scanty on details of the cartridge such as no drawing for dimension specs. I would think the "140 grains" capacity would be larger, having a +0.66" head vs. the 0.64" head of the Gibbs, but it is shortened down to ~2.8" instead of the 3.15" of the Gibbs.
Maybe the .475 Kifaru will beat the .475 LTD in case capacity, since the Kifaru will be at least 3.000" long in the brass.

Some other pieces in this 1973 G&A Annual are of better general interest:
Tom Siatos: The .460 G&A Goes to Africa
Jack Lott: Double Rifles are Accurate
Elmer Keith: Elephant Control
John Buhmiller: Buffalo in the Bamboo
Jack Lott: Double Gun Actions
All black and white, but some interesting content for Big Boring people.

I have limited time on the weekends to do this kind of stuff, so I am not offering to scan and send it to anyone but Nick, if he wants to put it up. He can obviously handle the chore now and then, and he did hint at expecting "articles" in an email.
For the Nickudu Files?

NickuduScanned articles or old hunting magazines are always welcome. Constantly on the hunt for quality materials, in hope of making another run of "The Nickudu Files". Thanks.

Tex21Good article. Thanks guys!
The remarks on a "horrified Frank Pachmeyer" remind me of some of the looks my gunsmith has given..."you wanna do what?"

RIPTex,
Me too.

Nick,
I hope the Elmer Keith piece ("Elephant Control") and the John Buhmiller piece ("Buffalo in the Bamboo") make it to you.
I'll send the others later.
Thanks.

mehulkamdarRIP and Nickudu,
Thank you very much for these wonderful articles. The Nickudu Files were undoubtedly the best "forums" on AR and their return would be simply fantastic.
Best wishes and here's waiting for more,
