<500 A2>ruger-no1,
What exactly are you looking for? I have a 500A2.
Case dimensions from A-Square Manual:
Belt diameter - 0.603"
Rim Diameter - 0.580"
Rim Thickness - 0.063"
Base Diameter - 0.582"
Shoulder Diameter - 0.568"
Neck Diameter - 0.537"
Case Overall Length - 2.900"
Base to Beginning of Shoulder Length - 2.485"
Base to End of Shoulder Length - 2.507"
Neck Length - 0.393"
Shoulder Angle - 35 degrees
My cases, which are reworked 460 Weatherby's, have a case capacity of 139 grains of water. The A Square cases I once had measured 140.5 grains of water. A Square brass, by the way, sucks!
I have loaded only 570 grain bullets of Woodleigh manufacture in my rifle. I have used both Rel 15 and IMR4350. I do not know if any load data I have will be of use to you since you are in Sweden. Can you obtain either of these powders?
For wahtever it is worth, the load I settled on is 123 grains of IMR4350 behing the 570 gr Woodleigh. This gives me a 10% compressed powder charge and a muzzle velocity around 2300 fps The compressed powder charge is desireable to help keep the bullets from overriding the crimp and bulging the case mouth. If this happens you can have serious feeding issues. I mean you cannot chamber a round i.e. the bolt won't close! Trust me I have been there and done that!
One word of caution! DO NOT USE THE LOAD DATA FROM THE RELOADING PAGES HERE AT ACCURATE RELOADING!! These loads are way over MAX and in some cases you physically cannot put that much powder in the case. At least I could not fit anywhere near that much IMR4350 powder in my cases even with a 30" drop tube!
Let me know if I can give you anymore information. You may want to pick-up a copy of A Squares reloading manual - "Any Shot You Want". It has good load data, as well as, dimensional information on the case/cartridge.
