600 OK brass update
I talked to Dieter Horneber this morning and he has had trouble with the belt. He says he's solved it and will send some sample brass out next week. I'm ready to go!-Rob

If the PH action become a reality, then the rim of the 600 OK will not need to be rebated, as the bolt diameter of the PH will be more than enough to accomodate a full size rim. Any chance you would change the design of the 600 OK? Thanks.

Mingo- The 600 Ok -2 is the full .688 rim as well as a 3.2 inch case length. The .600 Ok-1 was specifically designed for the CZ550 which can't go that far due to the .700 bolt. I have a Granite mountain action with a .750 bolt that will hold and feed three .600 OK-2's from the mag from a closed bolt. The Montanna Rifleman PH aught to work as well. however, it will need extensive modification. Depending on the interest level,I'm going to take brass orders for the .600 Ok-2's once the first 600 OK-1 order is delivered.-Rob

Thanks Rob for the reply! Please post a drawing of the 600 OK-02 when it is ready. I might be interested in it only if it is not rebated. Thanks.

When is the headstamp going to be on them. I have a sample 600 OK A1 case with no markings.

With a good CNC mill and programing, the head stamp can be engraved in less than a minute.

Thanks for the update.

Rob,

What modifications will the Montana PH action need for the 600 OK?

Does it need more mods than the Granite Mountain action?

Thanks.

I bet that there is no way for him to know for sure how is the PH action gonna play out with his cartridge since the action is still in the design phase. All we know is that the PH will have a .800" diameter bolt and it will be big enough for the 505 Gibbs. These two distinctive features alone would make it possible to build a really big rimless cartridge such as the 577 T-Rex on it. Of course, you would need a big bore specilist like Dennis Olson or John Ricks or others to tackle the job effectively. It remains to be seen how this PH action will come into play in the near future. All we need to do at this point is to place enough orders for the production to get started.
