RobgunbuilderWildcatters-.600OK brass available in March
Ed Plummer at AHR ( American Hunting Rifles)just e-mailed me that he's importing a third run of .600 OK brass. He didn't say how much but I expect at least 1000 cases. It should be here in march. For The Wilcatters out there, here is some major volume, high quality brass to build your .600 OK varient on. I get nothing out of this other than the pleasure of seeing my creation used.-Rob

Overkill from swedenRob-
I am going to have a .600 OK in 2 years. Not this year but next year I mean in 2007.
When I have enough money..
If I buy a rifle from AHR.. can I get the rifle with a 26" long barrel??
And a question that I have asked but dont remeber the answer-- how much powder does the .600 OK case take?? 178gr??
Regards//Robert

dakota45056Rob,
Are the varients of the 600 OK case going to be .585 or .550 for the 750 gr bullet at approx 2400 fps? Like existing wildcats, ie. 577 T-Rex, .585 Nyati, .585 GMA and .585 African--some of these have difficult cases (rebated rim) which are hard to feed or the 550 Express and 550 Magnum, where the 600 cases could easily support the 750 gr bullet.
Will also ask Ed and check the brass situation.

RobgunbuilderThe .585 and .550/.600OK's are quite easily accomplished with this case. With a 750 gr bullet in either I'd expect you can get 2700 fps easily. I'd reccomend a single stack mag if your going to use a CZ action . GMA or Vektor feed fine as is.
Overkill- the water capacity of a fired case is about 220 grs.-Rob
