The MetalsmithNeed help
Alright so I finally got off my lazy butt when I was on leave and took a picture of a rifle I bought from a elderly fellow a couple of years ago, which I'm still puzzled about. The picture quality isn't the greatest but it might help at least a little.
It's a 1903 Springfield chambered for the 30-03, with a quick detach scope mount of unknown make. I know it's a Hendersoldt scope, which says "Duralyte 4x" on the side and it's a 3-prong german reticle. Overall all the work done to it is first rate, however the only marking I can find on it is "A. Krausser, Montegren", which is on the bottom of the stock. Tried asking around and no one seems familiar with this gunsmith, whom I presume is German. I know this isn't a big bore but all of you are very knowledgable, and I know I'd find more help here than any of the other threads. Thanks for any info!
Umm...actually I'm having trouble posting that picture...

mstarlingHi Guy,
You have to put your picture on a place on the internet that can be viewed by users of this site. Cannot be on your own computer.
If you mail it to me I have a place I can locate it so that it is viewable on this thread. Double click my name to get to my profile which has my e-mail address in it.

The MetalsmithHey mike that was me who sent you that picture the other day with the rifle on it. Sorry about that, didn't identify myself. Thank you for doing that for me though.
