I dont know Mr.Burgess prices,but lets highly assume some starting whistle ballpark math for this kind of metal work;

$600+...pre64 action.
$600+...Bottom metal.
$200+...Bolt handle.
$400+...shape tang,grind&tune receiver.
$600+... .375 barrel.
$350+...Toms sights.
$400+...Bases
$400+...Toms rings.
$200+..custom Swivel bases
$400+...metal prep&blue.
$4100+
...good chance it has been re-heat treated also(+$??)

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Woodjack,
You need to relabel that first one as "Burgess M70 .375 H&H IMPROVED" ... definitely my kind of rifle. thumb

Except for the MPI stock. Wink

Perfect iron sights, I have never seen better.
Thanks for posting that.

Looks to be just about a perfect execution of a practical working rifle.

Thanks for the link, Woodjack.

Those rifles seem like real bargains.

If I were not waiting on a new rifle I would snap up that M70.

Very nice rifles (I lust after that M70) and nicely priced. If only I had $3600 laying around Mad

Thanks for posting the link Woodjack!

There are those that do, those that dream, and those that only read about it and then post their "expertise" on AR!

The M-70 has been sold - not sure about the other one.

Thank goodness. I was getting weak. And don't have it to spare, either.

How about the Enfield?

The M70 was a steal but I think the Enfield is too.

Better action, I think. Longer barrel and LOP, straight bolt handle. Plus Mr. T's rings come with it.

I doubt there are many chances to buy such a rifle for $4750.

Won't somebody please buy that rifle?

Friends-

Beautiful rifles, indeed!!!!!

I certainly wish I had an extra $4,570 laying around.

For an a person with an Enfield fetish, such as myself, I can look at that rifle in amazement.

Yes but for the price, those stocks make great turning patterns!
