Bwana_500404 magazine for Zastava Mauser?
Guys
I want to build a 375 RUM / 375/404 on a Zastava (Interarms / Rem 798) Mauser action that I have on hand. It is a magnum boltface, but the magazine box is only 30-06 length. Who makes a replacement magazine & bottom metal that would be suitable for this project?

Idaho SharpshooterI would opine that a 375 H&H box/follower/spring/floor plate set would fit perfectly.

TwoZeroA properly made .375 floor plate would be too narrow for the .404.
Mr. Weibe's stuff has a good rep and turnaround:

AtkinsonThe .375 box can be modified to take the 404 but its less than perfect IMO...
However all is not lost, Brownells makes a 404 box for a Mauser and it will work on a mod. 70 I am told as the actions can be cut to fit it..
Its not expensive either.
Swift also makes bottom metal that with a little modification works well..at least the drop box does..Have not used the std. but both are 375 length but the meat is thick and they modify easy...

Bwana_500Thanks guys
Not so familiar with Mausers, so that helps get me started.

Bwana_500Looks like the Weibe bottem metal will be the go. Just have to wait a month or so for the next batch to be ready.
