Load data for .458 Lott 480 Grain DGX
I was recently given a box of 480 grain Hornady DGX bullets that I intend to shoot out of my .458 Lott rifles. Do any of ya'll have load data for this particular bullet? I don't have a Hornady manual or else I would just look myself.

Also, could I get away with using data for 500 grainers?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Yes..... You will get less pressure, Weight = Pressure.... Probably a bit more velocity, but not much....

The 480's were designed for the 450NE. The crimping cannelure is set further forward and they will set deeper in the Lott case. Take a look at the Hornady 450NE data. I've shot a few as practice loads at about 1,700 fps.
