It's funny that they offer the 300 Win Mag in a 8.5 lbs. rifle with a muzzle brake but the 375 Ruger comes in at 7.5 lbs. and no brake.

The question is, what is the quality like? I have a friend who is a Mossberg fan, who bought one of the bolt guns in .270. Complete with a 14 pound trigger pull. He took it back to the dealer for gunsmithing. The dealer returned it to the factory for rework, because no aftermarket trigger was available for it. The factory reworked it under warranty, but the best they could do was 8 pounds. I commend them for the customer service, however, I would want something a bit better quality.

It may be luck of the draw but i bought a plain Mossberg Patriot 375 Ruger $380.00 out the door. Great trigger, accurate, feeds and functions perfectly. Very light rifle the stock is very well designed recoil is not bad. I have rifles costing thousands more and the Mossberg has become one of my favorites.

The ones I have tried with the ersatz Accu-trigger were not bad

His is a Mossberg 4 x 4 with a laminate stock in Marine coat finish.

Show us some nice groups. I could be enticed to pick up a $500 375Ruger if it were accurate.

PS: Factory stats list the trigger as adjustable from 2-7 lb. pull.

I remember when Mossberg introduced the SSI-ONE single shot rifles. The production photos were pretty little guns and I ran down to the local gunshop when they got them in, with my money in my hand yelling "Take my money!"

They had three of them in there and the fit and finish on all three was terrible. One action wouldn't open at all, one I beat open with the heel of my hand on the lever and the third felt like it was full of sand.

The lightest trigger pull of the two that we could get the action open on was probably over 10 Lbs.

Needless to say, I never bought one.
