Original Mauser Mod 77 375 H & H
I would like to get some info on this gun.
'Original Mauser Mod 77, clip, c/w Ziess diavari 6x42 scope. This gun and scope is immaculate with original papers'
It is an accurate gun?
What is a fair number?
Thanks

oldunI have no idea of the value of a 77 with a Ziess scope. Some 15 years ago a friend of mine had such a set up but with a 4x Ziess. He took it to Africa and used it on Buff, he had nothing but the highest praise for it. I would give such a rifle serious consideration were I wanting a 375.
Hope this is of some help.
Thank you.
If there are others that have experience or knowleadge of this gun ... I would like to hear your opinions.
I am more interested in feed back on the gun and on what it is worth.
Thanks
Sorry one more question.
Is the Model 77 a push feed?

oldunThe 77 is push feed, it has a spring loaded extractor on the side of the bolt head which engauges only as the bolt is closed. Ergo it can be double loaded. More it is a rear locking bolt, with three lugs which lock, I think, into the rear bridge.
This design is not in keeping with the features the Model 98 is prized for in a rifle for use against dangerous game.
I hope this is of some further help.
