mercury recoil reducer
there is alot of talk going around about recoil , you can come up with answers pretty easy for bench shooting. but in the field is where it counts although i know you will not notice it as much. it still maters alot because you will shoot more and be a better shot. i hate brakes that being said , as anyone had experience with mercury reducers, how well do thay work . i know they have been around a long time.

Dickens,
It's not mercury-based, but I have two Dead Mule recoil reducers in the stock of my 10.75lbs. .470 Capstick.

They help. A lot.

I have mercury recoil reducers in a 470, a 458 lott, a 585 nyati and a 458 win mag and they help a lot. They seem to take the sharp bite out of recoil.

George in your 10.75 lb 470 Capstick, is that with scope or without? I'm looking at building one and right now it' looks like it will be about 9.75 lbs without scope, about 10.5 ls with scope. Is that about right or a little light? Mine has one CZ factory installed recoil reducer in it right now.
