Good Hunting,
I used that same type of B/C stock on a VZ-24 .458WM that I built last fall ! I steel bedded the action to the stock to get the recoil lug area to fit correctly
.
Good luck!
It seems to be working fine so far. The factory stock is kinda cheap feeling though. Plus, the plastic stock makes the rifle look much cheaper than the factory wood stock it was in before.
That wood stock set back some of the wood between the recoil lug and the magazine opening due to recoil. After it was bedded and had a cross-bolt installed, it worked fine.
Now, even with what appears to be a better recoil pad (compared to the wood one) the rifle has more "felt" recoil, but it's still not too bad.
