jeffeossoi think your ffl can get these for 550 delivered...
how do you like the stocks and how well do they fit you?
unless the stocks are special, I think the price may be high..

congomikeNow which BBK-01 are we talking about. I bought one about 20 years(?) ago that was a two digit serial number and as I remember I bought it from Royal Arms. I talked to a Mr. Brill about it, (one of the "B's" in BBK). It is highly polished and I think of much higher fit and finish than what is offered as a BBK-01 today. It is actually polished quite nicely. Just my .02 worth.

walexI bought a BBK-01 action from Olympic Arms, or rather a dealer. Right about $600.00 10 months ago. Pretty rough, took quite a bit of work to knock the rough edges off it. Has a timney trigger, a Model 70 type safety. John Ricks is making a rifle with it. He says it's a strong action.

fla3006I've considered buying one for a project. Two experienced gunsmiths I know who have used them tell me they require a lot of hours of polishing (internally and externally) and work on the feedrails, extractor and ramp to get them to look good and function smoothly. Having done that, they make pretty fair rifles however. They question whether one really saves any money in the end after the additional manhours to clean one up versus the higher initial cost of other magnum actions.
