Anyone who has read the Bob Lee Swagger sniper series will love the new one "G Man".A transport over 3 generations of Bob trying to find the answers to clues while every other chapter we go back to 1934 when his Grandfather was with Frank Hamer at the Bonnie+ Clyde ambush, then after Dillinger + the rest.Great read. I am almost through with his older one "The 3rd Shot" which is another novel but this deals with the JFK assassination + the "other shooter" that made the kill + changed history. These are great mystery stories as most good writers do when interjecting historical truth with a grand novel.Good reading Ya'll.

Try Pale Horse Coming.
He features some of the old time gun gurus with some slight name modifications

Yes he does Race B. + although we know it to be total fantasy you are just SOOO ready for Ed McGivern to dust those trash.+ all the rest of our early years heros. One needs to read it to understand. All of his books are good;I recommend after Pale Horse;Havana, but one should read Hot Springs 1st. Then the newer one "Snipers Honor" is great with a very unexpected ending.Good reading ya'll.

A good book to the end. I won't give it away but one had empathy for the German sniper until Hunter turned his character around towards the end. 1st book,O.K. Also read "Snipers Honor" concerning a woman Soviet sniper in Leningrad in WW2 called the "White Witch". Good read + a surprise ending.

I'd mentioned earlier in this thread that I had read all his novels, but I forgot about one. So far the only SH book I've not finished is "I, Ripper".

May have to go back and start over. But then, maybe not!

Quien Sabe?

One reason Mr. Hunter's books are so good is that he is a firearms afficianado and does proper research . Back around 2002, my wife and I were enrolled in an Advanced Handgun class at Thunder Ranch when it was still in Texas. Lunch was usually taken out on a large deck with picnic tables. Terry and I were sitting there when a gentleman sat down directly across from me and we exchanged hello's. I told him he looked awfully familiar and asked his name. When he told me, I remembered seeing his picture on the Bio page of "The Master Sniper". He was extremely nice and was a good shot, but I'm damned if I can remember What handgun he was using!
