Has Anyone read "The Ridgerunner"..?

How about "The secret Life of Ted Kaczynsky" by Chris Waits

"Into the Wild" by John Krakauser

"Cache Lake County" by John Rowlands

I havent yet . wonder if any of these are good

In my opinion, "Into the Wild" is a glorified/romanticized exposee on the utter ignorance most Americans have for the realities of wilderness. It should be sub-titled "Suicide by Ignorance Brought On by a Disneyesque view of Nature."

Are you talking about "The Ridgerunner" by Richard Ripley? If so, I've read the book and it's a decent little read.

What made it interesting for me was I spring bear hunted in the same mountain region in Idaho that Bill Moreland roamed.

It's rough country and I cannot imagine living there during the winters!

My opinion of "Into the Wild" is the same as loud-n-boomer's.
