zimbabweDon't know how many books were printed but I have a very unusual rifle he customized. It's a 1903 Springfield military. The barrel has been cut to 16" and stock and handguard shortened to match. Bolt has been forged to a low bolt. Front sight ramp reinstalled with high patridge sight with gold insert. Lyman Alaskan in Griffin & Howe side mount. Mdl 70 type safety installed and compass in buttstock. I understand it was build for alaskan use while fishing and hiking. Built for a well known gunwriter I was told. Perfect cutdown and the gunsmithing is without any faults I can see. Very handy little rifle.
