two books containing the selected works of skeeter skelton, "good friends good guns good whiskey" and "hoglegs, hipshots & jalapenos" are great entertainment and informative, one of my favorite writers.

I cant believe they never reprinted them.They are getting hard to find.I have a copy of each.I have not read them yet.

What are you waiting for, read them!! Skeeter was a great writer and a heck of a nice guy.

I was lucky enough to talk to him on the phone a few times and he was a true gentleman and one of my favorite writers.

He lived in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico and had a very interesting life as a lawman. His writings are very interesting and informative.

I find it entertaining, my dad says Skeeters writings remind him of his younger days growing up in Texas and Arizona. (Especially the "Me and Joe" stories.)

I treasure my Skeeter Skelton books.
