dogcatTHe Hunting Blackbeards of Botswana edited by Brian Marsh
Very fun read about a multi-generation family that is well-known in Botswana as great people and able hunters. The story is about 4 generations of the Blackbeard family and how each adapted and lived in a small town in southwest Botswana to the changing world and to big time professional hunting. If you are interested in Botswana and want to know a little more history of the country, this a good one.
One of the co-authors, Luke Blackbeard, is currently a well respected PH in Botwana and carries on the family name. The book can be a bit "homey" at times with reflections by Luke's grandmother and some of the stories, but all in all, it is a fun read and gives insight into a remarkable family.
I would rate it 8 out 10.
