Just finished reading this last night. Not a hunting book but he touches on safari hunting in Africa and treats it fairly, I think.
It's a first person account about the "first" descent down the Lugenda River in Malawi(?), by non-blacks. Sea kayaks for 14 days.
Not a bad read. Includes a lot of historical bits about early African explorers. Most pics are of the expedition members. Disappointing. I'd sooner have seen some more pics of the landscape.
