Now that Wilbur Smith has died, any ideas on good books to take on the plane?

How about the trilogy by Bartle Bull. "The White Rhino Hotel", "Café On the Nile", + "The devil's oasis". He also wrote another called Safari that was not a novel, but he has written other novels as well. The 1st 3 I mentioned are well worth reading.
