Those with Capstick books...
I've read "the last Ivory Hunter," " Last Horizons: Hunting, Fishing & Shooting On Five Continents" and "The African Adventurers: A Return to the Silent Places" and enjoyed them very much. My local Library only has these books. I would very much like to read "Death in the Long Grass" and the other "Death" books.

Would anyone who has these books be willing to let me read them? I'm a fairly quick reader (read the last ivory hunter in a week) and about as respectful a person as you're likely to find. I'd pay shipping both ways (media mail is pretty reasonable) and willing to provide whatever collateral you need to ensure i'm not some yahoo that will steal your books.

PM me or email at mhharmon@comcast.net if you'd be willing to discuss loaning me a book or two!

Thanks!
Heath

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

I highly reccommend you go to Shakaris book store and just buy them. I have bought numerous books and I have found some rare unique books for mere dollars, cheaper than having a book shipped back to someone. I also found that they rate the book as to condition and there were very straight forward. Some of the books I bought apparently were gifts at christmas with notes written in the front about some of their adventures. One was from 1913, something like to Sir Thomas Taylor, A toast to you with fine Irish Whisky for all our grand times,,,, etc.. pretty neat to me. I re-read them all the time so start building your "Africana" library. My kid is already keeping an eye on the collection,,,,, drwes

I have Death in the Long Grass. I will gladly loan it to you. That said, I think it is a good enough read that I would want to own it.

I've got most of Capstick's books in very good condition. As I have more hunting, shooting, and Africana literature than I have room to store, I am willing to sell. Make me an offer if you're interested.

Always a pleasure to be of help. You'll find several thousands of both new and used hunting related books there.

Prices vary from about a dollar to well over a hundred thousand. Eeker
